Body composition is an indicator,
weight is only a summary of it.

The ratio between muscle mass, fat mass and water mass is a far more reliable marker of metabolic health than weight alone. It conditions available energy, hormonal regulation (insulin, leptin, testosterone, cortisol), resistance to inflammation and real physical capacities. Two people with the same weight can have radically different biological profiles.

Visceral fat in particular is metabolically active: it produces pro-inflammatory cytokines that disrupt insulin sensitivity, exhaust the liver and accelerate cellular aging. Muscle mass, conversely, acts as a glycemic and hormonal regulator, in addition to its functional role.

Lasting changes in body composition rest neither on restriction nor on effort alone. It is the balance between stimulation, recovery, nutritional intake and hormonal regulation that shifts the equilibrium. On objective data, not estimates.
