HIFEM
High intensity

Focused high-intensity electromagnetic field inducing approximately 20,000 supramaximal contractions per session. Neuromuscular activation that cannot be reached voluntarily.

Contraction beyond
the voluntary

Our technology combines HIFEM (focused high-intensity electromagnetic field) and RF (radiofrequency) to act simultaneously on muscle and adipose tissue. HIFEM induces supramaximal contractions, approximately 20,000 per 30-minute session, that the nervous system cannot command voluntarily. RF raises the temperature of the deep dermis to stimulate lipolysis and collagen remodeling.

The extreme energy demand triggers adipocyte apoptosis through endoplasmic reticulum stress, linked to elevated free fatty acids. Kent & Jacob (Journal of Scientific and Aesthetic Dermatology, 2019) measured by MRI an average 15.7% reduction in subcutaneous fat and a measurable thickening of the rectus abdominis muscle at 2 months.

A postpartum pilot study (2020) confirmed a 20.2% reduction in fat and a 21.3% increase in muscle thickness at 3-month follow-up.

Measured benefits
  • ~20,000 supramaximal contractions per session
  • Subcutaneous fat reduction (15.7% measured by MRI)
  • Increased muscle thickness
  • Hypertrophy and hyperplasia of muscle fibers
  • Complement to voluntary training
Applications

When to use HIFEM?

Abdominal strengthening

Supramaximal contractions recruit 100% of abdominal muscle fibers, inducing hypertrophy and hyperplasia measurable by MRI after a 4-session protocol.

Muscle toning

Glutes, thighs, arms: HIFEM targets specific muscle groups with an intensity impossible to reach through voluntary training, for targeted body remodeling.

Postpartum rehabilitation

A postpartum pilot study demonstrated 20.2% fat reduction and 21.3% increase in muscle thickness, offering a non-invasive option for abdominal recovery.

Contraindications: implanted electronic devices, metal implants in the treatment area, pregnancy, epilepsy, unstable cardiac conditions.
